Overview:

The part time Receptionist position is responsible for providing world class customer service by providing knowledgeable and courteous assistance to all incoming calls of Scheels. This position will represent Scheels as a friendly, courteous and knowledgeable professional.

The Essentials:

  • Answer all incoming calls in a friendly, professional and pleasant disposition
  • Be knowledgeable and courteous while assisting customers and transferring calls to appropriate associates or areas for further assistance
  • Primarily work with softline goods to tag, fold, hang and price merchandise to be put out on the sales floor or in back stock
  • Organize checked in freight to be processed by date
  • Hang and fold merchandise to the needs of the SSM
  • Teach and Train all PT associates in Hang/Fold
  • Create daily pocket schedules, make signs for all shops, order supplies and keep stocked at all times
  • Assist in various projects for members of the Leadership team as needed
  • Contribute to a work environment that fosters pride in being part of a winning team and promotes personal growth
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Demonstrate multi-tasking, organization, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Publisher, and Excel
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to complete basic mathematical equations
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

 

Expert Experience:
Ideal candidate will have Associates Degree (AA/AS) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Activity:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Roles are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met

Schedule:

Must be flexible to work assigned part time schedule between 8a.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule  will primarily be daytime hours but may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of two  weekends a month. Average hours per week is 15-25 hours.
