Overview:

While committing to a professional, team environment, provide assistance to fellow associates in facilitating day to day preventive maintenance, repair and renovation of the fixtures and equipment within the facility.

The Essentials:

  • Provide assistance to Specialty Shop Managers, ASL’s, and other associates by organizing, managing, and cleaning backroom spaces and fixture storage areas.
  • Work with the leader of merchandisers to coordinate fixture moves for seasonal shops as directed by Leadership and Specialty Shop Managers
  • Assist customers and sales people with retrieving and loading purchased product
  • Maintain orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas.  General cleaning and organization around the store and back stock areas
  • Build, repair and install facility fixtures, cabinetry, flooring and wall covers, windows, doors and partitions
  • Plan for large seasonal shipment in addition to maintaining the flow of freight all year
  • Work with outside service teams and vendors when applicable
  • Be knowledgeable of all equipment and tools and how to use them properly
    Complete daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly checklist to ensure equipment remains in good working order
  • Assist in the removal of snow and debris from walkways, rooftops and landscaping around the building
  • Other duties as assigned by the leadership team
  • Occasionally making deliveries to customers or businesses
  • Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates of the organization
  • Ability to be organized, multi-task and maintain all aspects of a support role
  • Embrace project visions and respond with urgency to address project needs
  • Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization
  • Strong oral/written communication and presentation skills to communicate effectively and in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates attention to detail
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels’ policies and procedures.

Expert Experience:

Ideal candidate will have a minimum of a High School diploma, or General Education Degree (GED), one to three months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Activity:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

 

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

Schedule:

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Saturday, 10a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday. Schedule may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays, must be available minimum of three weekends a month. Average hours per week is 40 hours.
