Position Description:
Scheels is currently seeking a Part Time Seasonal Web / Picking / Shipping associate for our Scheels Web business in Springfield, IL. This position will accurately and thoroughly shop our sales floor and then box and ship products ordered by our Scheels.com customers. This position is seasonal and begins on or after 11/1/2021. The length of this position is  60 days, but may vary based on needs of the business and could lead to a permament position.  Hours may vary but candidates must be flexible to work between the hours of 7 a.m and 4 p.m.  This position will represent Scheels in a friendly, courteous and knowledgeable manner to our customers and fellow associates. 


The Essentials:

• Shop, organize, and collect products to complete orders from assigned lists
• Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping
• Communicate with leadership to resolve problems or questions
• Execute projects to complete the task on time, and revise as appropriate to meet requirements
• Perform all assigned goals and assist others in accomplishing their goals
• Basic computer knowledge: Microsoft Office
• Demonstrate strong organization, attention to detail, ability to multi-task and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and with the team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Activity:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects

 
Education and Experience:
Ideal candidate will have one to three months of related experience or training

Schedule:

Must be flexible to work assigned schedule between 7a.m. and 4p.m., Monday through Sunday.  Schedule may include varied day hours and weekends,  must be available minimum of two weekends a month. Average hours per week may vary from 20-30 hours, depending on availability. Scheels is closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
