Overview:

The Visual Display Associate will be responsible for contributing to a professional, team environment; executing strong visual displays and providing world-class service to all customers. This position will work with a wide variety of people within the organization, including Store Leaders and Department Managers, to ensure the Scheels' standards for display are upheld.

The Essentials:

  • Collaborate with the Display Leader and with each Shop Manager to execute displays and seasonal shop changeovers
  • Researching lifestyle and design trends and creating displays that are eye-catching, profitable and appeal to the target audience
  • Planning, collaborating and executing display plans to make the most of the space available
  • Provide ideas and complete tasks that drive the overall visual experience to the customer through display
  • Maintain orderly appearance of personal work space and surrounding areas
  • Cleaning and organizing around the store and specifically in the display team's back stock space
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos along with the ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and with a team
  • Demonstrates strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and problem solving skills
  • Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels’ policies and procedures
  • Exercises judgement and tact while working with all levels of the organization, including coworker, leadership, customers and vendors. 
  • Ability to work assigned scheduled which may include varied hours, evening, weekends, and holidays
  • Other duties that may be assigned by supervisor, as needed

 

Expert Experience:
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Activity:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation

Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work

Schedule:

A typical schedule will be Monday through Friday between the hours of 7am and 5pm.  Must be flexible to occassionally work an assigned schedule between 9a.m. and 9p.m., Monday through Saturday, 11a.m. and 6p.m., Sunday for holiday decor set or ad prep. Average hours per week is 40 hours.
