Description
SCHEELS is currently seeking a Full-Time Assistant Marketing Leader for our Fargo, ND Corporate Office. The assistant marketing leader position will be responsible for effectively leading all daily operations of Scheels vendor co-op, model and product photo shoots, as well as the newspaper preprint insertions and direct mail campaigns. This position will lead their direct team as well as being involved with all associates within the Scheels Marketing office to provide leadership and direction toward our corporate marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Lead / supervise the vendor co-op campaigns working in collaboration with the Line Leader office to maximize our partners investments of over $5M within Scheels
  • Lead / supervise a team of approx. 10 through associate evaluations, daily interactions, while empowering associates in their career advancement through mentoring
  • Work alongside Marketing Leader to make decisions in the best interest of the  corporation across the entire Marketing office
  • Instrumental in working with Buying Office to bring the Line Leaders vision for print to execution
  • Oversee those who manage:  co-op, photography, model coordination, newspaper insertions, and graphic artists who focus on our print media
  • Work alongside team to lead the 19 newspaper insertions as well as direct mail campaigns and run dates on behalf of the entire corporation
  • Manage the budget of over $6M on behalf of entire print campaign while being the main point of contact with our print company to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Assist in guiding stores on co-op earmarked for their locations and how best to invest for maximum return
  • Manage top 10 vendors co-op initiatives alongside the Marketing Leader to ensure SCHEELS is receiving key account value from the respective vendors
  • Collaborate on new store development with assisting in vendor Ferris Wheel investments
  • Lead / supervise all off-site photo shoots for print campaigns, in store imagery
 Requirements:
  • Leadership experience with a strong understanding of business required
  • Self-empowered with strong time management skills
  • Highly organized with ability to follow-up on the smallest details.
  • Ability to quickly read reports and make sound Scheels business decisions.  
  • A strong, proven ability to communicate well and work with a variety of personalities and experience levels.  
  • Strong initiative and vision for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work independently and with the team
  • Respond with urgency to address project needs
  • Approved company driver
Education and Experience:
Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred; and / or 3-5 years of leadership experience. 
 
Schedule:
Must be flexible to work between 6am and 6pm, Monday through Friday with some nights and weekends as needed. Average hours per week are 50.
